The project will aim to integrate existing horticultural technologies to reduce the impact of postharvest rind disorders on the SA citrus producer.
Objectives
- To determine the impact of novel usage of existing plant growth regulators (PGR’s) and nutrients preharvest on rind sensitivity to pitting.
- To determine the impact of preharvest water stress on rind sensitivity of citrus.
- To determine the impact of postharvest water stress on rind sensitivity of citrus towards pitting.
