The overall objective is the creation of a digitally supported information system as complementary tool for transfer of postharvest technologies and information to assist stakeholders in the stone fruit business. The project comprises several phases. In Phase 1, which ran from July 2015 to September 2015 a digital template was formulated. During Phase 2 that will run from November 2015 to December 2016, the digital template that was created will be populated with cultivar specific and generic information, for Apricots, Peaches, Nectarines and Plums. Once completed, but beyond the scope of this project, the information generated will be used by Hortgro Science to complete Phase 3, the development of mobile phone and desktop applications (APPS).
